Application and advantages
In the rubber industry, zinc oxide is mainly used as a vulcanization activator for natural rubber, synthetic rubber and latex, as well as a reinforcing agent and colorant. It is also used as a vulcanizing agent for chloroprene rubber and a compounding agent to improve thermal conductivity.
Zinc white can be added directly to rubber or latex as an aqueous dispersion.
Zinc hydroxide can also be used as a paint colorant and a raw material in ink, papermaking, medicine, enamel, matches, cables, cosmetics and other industries.
