Diethyl 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl phosphate is a phosphorus-containing hindered phenol antioxidant that can effectively prevent thermal and oxidative aging degradation in the production and processing of polyester fibers. It is also a polycondensation catalyst for polyester. It is used to eliminate the currently toxic catalyst antimony trioxide.

Since this product does not reduce the reaction rate and does not react with catalyst residues, it can protect the polyester melt from thermal oxidative degradation, thus greatly avoiding discoloration of the condensation polymer and maintaining viscosity stability.

Antioxidant 1222 can also be used as a light stabilizer in polyamide and has antioxidant effects. It has a synergistic effect when used together with UV absorbers. The general dosage is 0.3~1.0 parts. This product can also be used during the transportation and storage of dimethyl terephthalate, which can effectively prevent the tendency of yellowing.
